SciFi and Fantasy Art: The QuestA tale being told, and a tale about to start. "If you follow the road, young fellows my lads, 'tis said that behind the mountain you will find the dragon's lair". And then ... be my guest: Imagine the adventure of your choice! Anyway, who knows, at the beginning of a quest, how and where it will end up.

Helle Jorgensen replies: "Thanks for commenting! I'm glad that the description succeeded in setting off your imagination."
| 27 May 2005 | Lydia Thomas | First of all, thanks for visiting my sight and commenting. This is my favorite picture of yours. It is one of the best, but I also like the story behind it and the fact that it is a story in itself. The woman and two men, the fence, mountain, clouds, everything tells you something, it adds a lot to the picture. I am horrible at drawing convincing scenery and I think you did a great job. Helle Jorgensen replies: "Thanks a lot! I'm so glad you like it, especially considering that, in fact, I generally don't do too many drawings with properly developed background sceneries. I try to work on it, though, since it *does* add a lot to a picture. Landscapes I can manage - but you should see my interiors - yuck! So don't feel bad if you're having problems with scenery!" | |
| 28 May 2005 | Lena *Hellen* Iachoukova | I have a very special feeling about it... Reminds me... of the old old game, 'Quest for Glory'. Anyway, it makes you wonder what lies 'there'. Helle Jorgensen replies: "Again, thanks! You've been very thorough in commenting my pictures, and I'm very glad to read it all! 'Quest for glory' is new to me, perhaps I should look it up?" | |
| 16 Jun 2005 | Karin van Zon | If you follow the road, behind that mountain you will find ... another mountain, and another behind that one. Then you realise you're in the middle of an mountain range, and that you're lost AAARGH (of course, then comes the dragon which lives in the dragon lair that's supposed to lie behind the first mountain) I could go on forever like this... Nice pic!!! Helle Jorgensen replies: "That's it, exactly! Getting lost in a mountain range and so forth would probably be more in my style than valiantly defeating the dragon, or whatever lies waiting out there. Nice to see how you've thought on from the story, I'm glad that you like the pic! Actually I don't think the characters are the best I've ever drawn, but judging from the amount of comments as compared to my other works, the lesson to be learned here must be that it really pays to draw a proper setting. Hooray! " | |
| 26 Jun 2005 | Karyn N. Anderson | I really like this picture. Just the overall feel of it is really nice, and very well drawn. Good job!! Helle Jorgensen replies: "Thanks for your compliments! I'm happy that this drawing has turned out so popular. I had not expected this particular piece to fetch the most comments among the works in my gallery - actually I wasn't even quite sure whether to upload it for my gallery in the first place! Lucky that I did, heh! " | |
