| 6 May 2009 | Lena *Hellen* Iachoukova | Loading...Hello, Helle!
So, how did you survive the grand reconstruction? Or with your constant travelling you haven’t notice it?
Have you tried the new upload system? It’s confusing me... I have new pictures on the way and I took the liberty to implement your idea of Pestilence riding a rat (you’ll see what I mean).
Do you have anything new to show? Helle Jorgensen replies: "Hi Lena! Great to hear from you! I’ve been looking in on Elfwood regularly to see how the changes are coming along (and lamenting the long period in which there has been no new updates to see). As for myself, I have no pictures ready to upload and thus I have not tried the new upload function. I am busy working on some articles that I have to get ready for publication, alas, so I have not been drawing much lately. But New York has good art supply stores, so I have bought many different pens and papers for future pictures. I really look forward to see what you’ve made of the rat rider! "
| 12 May 2009 | Lena *Hellen* Iachoukova | Loading...A bit of shameless self-advertisement: I updated my gallery!
(I don’t know if you receive a notification or not)
Well, I got my pics uploaded, but I couldn’t find "Newest additions to Elfwood" section anywhere. How would people browse new art, I don’t know...:? Helle Jorgensen replies: "I’m happy to see you update! I did get an email notification and I have left you some comments. To see new updates you go to the ’whats new’ tab on the front page and then to ’recent additions’. Pictures are beginning to appear now; but I am not sure if that function was working when your pics got moderated. All of Elfwood’s functions aren’t working yet after the new overhaul of the site."
| 2 Jul 2009 | Jill O Connell | Loading...wow you have a vivid imagination and your art is so cool Helle Jorgensen replies: "Thanks for your appreciative comment! - And welcome to Elfwood - I see that you’re new . Are you going to upload some of your own drawings?" | |
| 11 Aug 2009 | Sherwin ortonio remorin | Loading...WOW!
beautifully detailed works!
the sense of traditionalism in your works is so intense!
if you have time, please stop by my gallery and please leave a critic,,,. Helle Jorgensen replies: "I’m glad that you like my work. Of course I have time to leave a comment - I’ve just stopped by your gallery "
| 17 Aug 2009 | Paul Cerar | Loading...An amazing coincidence: A fellow Elfwood artist, Rachel Eve Lachance, drew a portrait of me, in downtown Toronto, without me even knowing it. Look at "After The Battle". I am the handsome one on the right.
Mind you, she was too generous - I am much fatter. Helle Jorgensen replies: "Oh, I wouldn’t worry about the weight if I was you. But if the picture is anything to go by, perhaps you should do something about that face, though."
| 15 Sep 2009 | Louise Lindgren | Loading...Hello, neighbour! If it is of any interest, I have new stuff up and about in my Other Works gallery (which is why there won’t be any automatical notiv about it.) Helle Jorgensen replies: "Hello Louise! I’ve rushed to have a look - once again to be reminded that as compared to you my patience with details is minuscule . I haven’t been awfully productive art-wise this summer due to my mundane research obligations in what is so charmingly referred to as ’real life’, but I have finally uploaded a new picture; "Fangorn" - a new version of my "Old Man Autumn"." | |
| 16 Sep 2009 | Louise Lindgren | Loading...Ah.... I know how it is. That pesky thing called Real Life is also getting in the way for me. I want to be able to sit with a project many hours in a row. You know, to get in the flow of things. Alas, that is now almost only made possible by weekends, along with just a few hours here and there during the week. *Growls irritably* I think we all have to just hang on and try to make the best of it. Helle Jorgensen replies: "You’re right: A few stolen hours are better than nothing at all. I think I shall make an effort not just to collapse on the sofa in my spare hours ... if nothing else so that people on Elfwood don’t begin to suspect that I’ve died for lack of activity in my gallery!" | |
| 23 Sep 2009 | Louise Lindgren | Loading...Though collapsing in the sofa is very tempting thing indeed, make sure you’ve at least got you sketch pad with you
(Just in case the the handy update mail didn’t get through, I’ve got another painting up and about in the gallery) Helle Jorgensen replies: "Strangely I didn’t get an email with the update, so thanks. I should try to remember my sketching pad, though I would probably make a better model than artist these days, as tired as I am (the chicken pox which I had a while back was really taxing). I’m sure that at present I’d make a fine model for ’the return of the mummy’ or something like that! "
| 24 Sep 2009 | Louise Lindgren | Loading...Hehe... You’re never pretty when you have chicken pox. I know I definitelly wasn’t. Still got a bunch of scars left from all the scratching. Helle Jorgensen replies: "No, I’ve looked prettier! But apart from the scars I’m beginning to get back to my normal state of functioning, so with luck all will soon be well. " | |
| 23 Nov 2009 | Kristen Ninjakumo Hale | Loading...Me likey your arts! They am tasty! *eats your arts* hmmm...needs gravy. Lols, Just joking, I love your art, very intricately and gorgeously sketched. Helle Jorgensen replies: "Thanks for the compliment; it’s always nice when my sketches please " | |
